In the Ross BBA program, I plan to pursue a concentration in Marketing and hope to take several electives in Management and Organizations as well because the people-oriented aspect of business interests me. I have always been captivated by how successful businesses market their goods and services. Besides marketing, one career field that also interests me is management consulting. I have really enjoyed my experience doing consulting work for local businesses through Nexecon Consulting Group. Due to my additional interest in education, I am also looking into educational consulting. However, before entering that field I would want to have experience in schools, either through Teach for America or a Masters in Education program.

 

Through the Minor in Writing, I hope to continue pursuing my interests and develop my strengths in writing, both personally and professionally. I want to get better at expressing myself through writing and develop skill in new media writing, such as blogging. I know these skills will be very valuable to me as a business professional. I plan on continuing to take upper level English classes throughout college to enhance my reading and writing abilities. Due to my interest in education and English, I am considering pursuing a secondary teaching certification in English through the School of Education as well. I also plan on leaving time in my schedule to take classes in different sectors that interest me and to take classes with great professors across the University.
